The UWF West Campus trails are a nice set of trails that are close by if you live in Pensacola.  There are some hilly areas that are well suited for mountain bikes. This trail is a multi-use trail and you may encounter hikers, bikers and / or horses. Please watch your step if you walk or run due to many areas of tree roots across the trail. Also keep in mind if you visit the trail shortly after a rainstorm, you may encounter a few areas where there is ankle deep water to go through for a short distance.

Directions To Trailhead
The road to the trailhead (Pate St.) is located off Ten Mile Rd., a few blocks east from the Chemstrand Rd./ Ten Mile Rd. intersection.  When you turn onto Pate St., you will see signage stating that it is a private access road, official business only.  The entrance to the dirt parking lot will be on your right hand side as you continue to drive North.  The Orange Loop trail starts across the street from the parking lot.  You will walk under a roadblock to keep out motorized vehicles.  The trailhead starts down the dirt road on the right hand side.

NOTE:
This long version of the orange trail is best suited for mountain bikes.  There are some very steep trail sections if the "Easy Bypass" is not taken.  Although it is possible to hike the section past the easy bypass, it is not recommended.
